That pink powder drink you remember from when you were a kid is all grown up and made from fresh, juicy strawberries. It’s easy to make, and you’ll taste the difference between homemade and from-powder right away.

Directions

  1. PLACE strawberries into a small saucepan.
  2. ADD 50 gram sugar and 60 ml water.
  3. BRING to a boil.
  4. SIMMER, and STIR occasionally, for 5-7 minutes until liquid is reduced and strawberries are broken down.
  5. PRESS strawberries through a fine mesh strainer to COLLECT strawberry syrup.
  6. DISCARD strawberry solids or SAVE for future uses such as in yogurt.
  7. ALLOW syrup to cool slightly then STIR into 500ml milk.
  8. DIVIDE strawberry milk between two tumblers.
  9. ADD ice as desired.
  10. GARNISH with additional strawberries as desired.

SERVE immediately or store in your refrigerator to enjoy later.
