Brie Crostini Strawberry

Brie, Strawberries and Basil Honey Crostini

  • 5 Tablespoons honey
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 1 demi baguette, sliced (about 16‐18 slices)
  • 1-2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 255 grams of brie cut into 1⁄4-inch slices
  • 225 grams of Driscoll’s Strawberries hulled and sliced
  • Sea salt flakes
  • Additional basil leaves sliced for garnish

A simple recipe with delightfully sophisticated flavors. Fresh strawberries and basil-infused honey combine with buttery brie to make a beautiful and delicious appetizer.


PREHEAT oven to 180°C.
POUR 5 tablespoons honey into a small bowl.
STIR IN 2 tablespoons chopped basil.
SET ASIDE basil-honey as you continue recipe to allow flavors to infuse.
ARRANGE baguette slices on a large baking sheet.
BRUSH olive oil lightly over both sides of each slice.
BAKE 4-5 minutes or until lightly golden.
TURN baguette slices and BAKE for additional 4-5 minutes.
REMOVE from oven.
PLACE one slice of brie onto each baguette slice while still warm.
DRIZZLE basil-honey over each baguette slice.
LAYER sliced strawberries onto each baguette slice.
SPRINKLE lightly with sea salt flakes and GARNISH with sliced basil leaves.
SERVE immediately.
