  • 1 punnet of Driscoll's strawberries (400 g)
  • 120 g dark chocolate
  • 120 g butter
  • 250 g sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 85 g wheat flour
  • 60 g sliced almonds
  • 80 g chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Give a fresh and fruity punch to your brownies with this easy peasy recipe. It's as simple as adding some delicious berries.

What to do to get those crazy luscious strawberry chocolate brownies?

  • Preheat oven to 175°C
  • Lightly butter 12 muffin cases
  • Chop up ½ a punnet of strawberries and put to one side
  • Break up the chocolate and place in a bowl with the butter
  • Place the bowl in the microwave on medium power for 2- 3 minutes, stir until completely melted
  • Add the sugar, eggs and vanilla
  • Now add the flour, chopped strawberries and almonds
  • Spoon the silky batter into the muffin cases, filling each one half way and bake 15 minutes
  • Briefly remove from the oven to sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top of the brownies
  • Return to the oven for 1-2 minutes
  • Remove from the oven and quickly spread out the melted chocolate with the back of a teaspoon
  • Cool completely and garnish with fresh strawberries
  • Enjoy… alone or in company!
